Gary Leach
Gary Leach (born 1957) is an American comics creator best known for his extensive work within the Disney comics universe, particularly as a writer, letterer, and colorist. Since the 1980s, he has contributed to publishers such as Gladstone, Gemstone, and IDW. Leach’s first three Disney stories—all Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck tales—were illustrated by Don Rosa and published in 1988. He later wrote additional stories drawn by artists including William Van Horn, all set in the Donald Duck universe. Beyond writing, Leach has served as an editor on numerous manga titles for VIZ Media, including *Red River*, *D.Gray-man*, and *Uzumaki*. He is also credited with cover concepts and has written articles on Disney comics. Leach is married to Susan Daigle-Leach, a fellow Disney comics colorist and letterer. His credits span over 60 issues from 1989 to 2025, with notable appearances in *Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Adventures*, *The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library*, and *Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge*.
