Bill DuBay was an American comic-book editor, writer, and artist best known for his extensive work at Warren Publishing, where he helped shape the company's horror-comics magazines *Creepy*, *Eerie*, and *Vampirella*. Born William Bryan Dubay on January 11, 1948, he entered the comics field in the early 1970s and quickly became a key creative force at Warren, often writing and editing under the pseudonyms Will Richardson or Dube. His signature style blended visceral horror with a sharp, pulpy energy, and he collaborated frequently with artists like José Ortiz and Gonzalo Mayo. DuBay co-created the character Steel Sterling and contributed to series such as *Thriller* and *1994*. After Warren's decline, he continued working in the industry into the 1990s and beyond, with credits spanning over 90 issues. He died on April 15, 2010. While he did not receive major industry awards during his lifetime, his editorial and writing work on Warren's flagship titles left a lasting mark on horror comics, influencing later generations of genre storytellers.
