Vampirella #52
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeWarren Magazine's Vampirella #52 from 1976 presents a striking cover by Enrich, depicting Vampirella crouched in a tense, predatory stance — her wild dark hair cascading around her as she stares out with an unsettling intensity, encircled by what appears to be a sorcerer's binding chain. The cover copy tells us she's "snared in a sorcerer's circle of madness," with the ravishing alien threatening to revert to raging monster — a compelling "beauty and the beast" tension that frames the terrors waiting inside, including a visit to the "House at Blood Corner." Interior work by writer Bill DuBay and artist/inker Gonzalo Mayo promises the kind of atmospheric horror storytelling that made Warren's black-and-white magazine line such a distinctive corner of 1970s comics.
