This issue is an anthology containing four tales: "Hands of Death," in which a man desperate to fix his ruined hands makes a supernatural bargain with a sinister figure who offers him a choice of replacement hands from the mist, with terrifying consequences; "Phantom Hitch-Hiker," featuring two figures engaged in a high-speed chase through alpine mountain passes where one pursues the other with deadly intent; "Haunted Melody," where a man encounters a drunken stranger claiming to be a ghost and warning him never to forget a supernatural encounter on a mountain top; and "Death on Skis," involving criminals on a train traveling under a river who engage in a violent confrontation as the train grinds to a halt, with one character's schemes to rule both land and water.
