Zero
A silent, humanoid robot created by the time-displaced villain Stryfe, Zero served as a teleportation unit for Stryfe's Mutant Liberation Front. Capable of transporting individuals across great distances, Zero functioned as an obedient instrument of Stryfe's militant operations.
Born into the turbulent Copper Age of Marvel Comics with a debut in The New Mutants #86 in 1990 β courtesy of the dynamic duo of Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld β Zero has carved out a quietly fascinating corner of the X-Men universe across more than three decades of storytelling. With affiliations to both X-Factor and the X-Men, this character moves through some of Marvel's most charged mutant territory, sharing pages with heavyweights like Cable, Stryfe, and Cannonball across titles including X-Force, The New Mutants, and Askani Son. Two of Zero's appearances carry key-issue weight with collectors, a testament to the character's significance within the sprawling, interconnected saga of Marvel's mutant mythology. Forty-six catalog appearances spanning all the way to 2023 make Zero a rewarding discovery for any fan who loves digging deeper into the rich, layered world beyond the headline names.
