X-Factor Visionaries: Peter David #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis second volume of Peter David's celebrated X-Factor run collects issues #71–#83 of the original series, diving deeper into the government-sanctioned mutant team's chaotic dynamics. David's sharp dialogue and character-driven plots shine as Multiple Man Jamie Madrox, Strong Guy, Polaris, and the rest of the team face threats like the deadly Mutant Liberation Front, the enigmatic Mr. Sinister, and the return of the Hulk. Balancing dark humor with genuine emotional stakes, this collection solidifies the era that made X-Factor a fan-favorite under David's pen.
In "This Means War," X-Factor faces a brutal test as the tyrannical dictator Farnoq Dahn captures Havok and weaponizes his powers, forcing the team into a desperate fight for survival. With the Pantheon pressing the assault and Dahn unleashing missiles rigged with both Havok and innocent civilians, the Hulk must step in—though even his intervention may not be enough. Written by Peter David and illustrated by Dale Keown, with inks by Mark Farmer, colors by Glynis Oliver, and letters by Joe Rosen, this issue delivers high-stakes tension and moral complexity, all anchored by Keown’s striking cover.
