Few characters can claim a Silver Age debut alongside the entire Riverdale royalty, but Shrimpy has done exactly that — first appearing in Archie Annual #11 in 1959 and sharing those pages with Archie Andrews, Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Reggie Mantle, and Jughead Jones from the very start. With 39 catalog appearances spanning an impressive 64 years, from the late Silver Age all the way to 2023, Shrimpy is a quietly enduring presence in the Archie universe, popping up most frequently in Archie's Pal Jughead and the beloved Laugh Comics family of titles. Two of those appearances carry key-issue status, making Shrimpy a modest but genuine collector's footnote in one of comics' most cheerful and long-running publishing empires — a small name with a surprisingly long shelf life in Riverdale.
