Archie's Pal Jughead #74
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJughead Jones is in a pickle on the cover of this July 1961 Archie Series issue — crown askew and sweating bullets, he's simultaneously dialing a rotary phone and holding the receiver to his ear, pleading "Operator — I have a problem…" to whoever will listen. Samm Schwartz's clean, expressive linework captures Riverdale's favorite goofball at his most charmingly flustered. At a dime a copy, Archie's Pal Jughead #74 is a delightful snapshot of early-'60s humor comics done with genuine warmth and wit.

Everyone has spring fever (including the faculty) and no one wants to go to school. Jughead is given a bag of Mr. Stromboli's extra-powerful garlic on the way to school. When the bag of garlic accidentally falls into the school ventilation system, the odor causes the school to be closed.
