In "Cast Party," Valerie takes a moment to set the record straight about women's liberation, urging Archie and the gang to see it not as a battle of the sexes but as a call for teamwork and mutual support. With a clever twist of imagination, she paints a scenario where Alan M. refuses to let Josie contribute, leading to a comically dire outcome that underscores her point. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with vibrant art by Stan Goldberg, inks by Mario Acquaviva, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, this 1978 issue features a cover by Dan DeCarlo.

Frustrated by both sexes' lack of understanding of what women's liberation really means, Valerie takes the boys aside and explains that women's lib isn't about taking over everything, it's about working side by side and helping each other. To illustrate this, Valerie asks them to imagine Alan M. being married to Josie, and refusing to let her work to help pay the bills. Eventually he'd work himself into an early grave.
