Archie's Pal Jughead #72
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJughead sits contentedly at a soda fountain booth, milkshake in hand and crown proudly in place, while a blonde girl confronts him about his scheming — with Veronica and a grinning Reggie visible in the doorway behind them. The cover gag, rendered with Samm Schwartz's characteristically expressive linework, perfectly captures Jughead's shameless willingness to trade social favors for free food. This 1961 Archie Series entry promises the kind of breezy, good-natured humor that made the title such a reliable treat.

Because he can't get into the Frosh Luncheon without a date, Jughead makes dates with Betty, Veronica, and Midge (just to be sure.) That manages to make both the girls and the boys mad at him. Archie comes up with a psychological torture involving food, but that doesn't work.
