About the series
From 2000 to 2006, DC Comics brought the animated chaos of Townsville to the printed page with The Powerpuff Girls, a 70-issue series that captured the sugar-spice-and-everything-nice spirit of the show. Writers Jennifer Moore, Sean Carolan, and Robbie Busch, alongside artists Christopher Cook, Phil Moy, and Ricardo Garcia Fuentes, kept Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup busy foiling Mojo Jojo’s schemes and protecting the Mayor, all while Professor Utonium looked on. It’s a fondly remembered tie-in that gave fans more of the pint-sized superheroes’ adventures in a medium that let the colorful, kinetic art shine.
