“Mayor, May I?”

Something's very wrong in Townsville — the cover of issue #8 shows Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup hovering wide-eyed outside City Hall while the Mayor desperately pleads "Please, Ms. Bellum! Don't leave us!" to a towering, red-suited figure clutching a suitcase and apparently heading out the door. With cover art by Phil Moy, the scene captures that perfect mix of charm and comic urgency that made the Cartoon Network series such a delight, and the story title "Mayor, May I?" suggests the girls have their work cut out for them keeping Townsville running smoothly.
