World of Archie (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #31
In "Mind Games," Alex’s latest scheme to win Josie back takes a bizarre turn when he pays Clyde Didit to write a song about himself—only to misinterpret the satire as flattery. As Alex lavishes attention and money on the song, turning it into a local sensation, Josie grows distant and Alexandra worries her own wealth won’t matter if Clyde becomes the star. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo with inks by Rudy Lapick and letters by Bill Yoshida, this quirky tale of ego, misunderstanding, and musical misfires comes to life on a cover by Jeff Shultz and Bob Smith.

Alex pays Clyde Didit to write and perform a song that will help him get Josie. Clyde writes a song making fun of Alex's conceit, but Alex considers it a tribute to his own wonderfulness, and uses all his money and influence to turn the song into a hit. Josie begins to feel upset that Alex is more interested in listening to a song about himself than chasing after her, while Alexandra fears that if Clyde gets rich off the song, she won't have a chance to attract him with her money.
