☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIn "Song of Love," Alex’s misguided attempt to win Josie’s affection backfires hilariously when he pays Clyde Didit to write a song praising him—only for Clyde’s satire to be mistaken as flattery. As Alex lavishes attention and money on the song, turning it into a hit, Josie grows distant and Alexandra worries she’s losing her chance to impress him with wealth. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Dan DeCarlo’s signature charm and Rudy Lapick’s crisp inks, this 1969 classic features a cover by DeCarlo and Lapick that perfectly captures the comedic chaos.

Alex pays Clyde Didit to write and perform a song that will help him get Josie. Clyde writes a song making fun of Alex's conceit, but Alex considers it a tribute to his own wonderfulness, and uses all his money and influence to turn the song into a hit. Josie begins to feel upset that Alex is more interested in listening to a song about himself than chasing after her, while Alexandra fears that if Clyde gets rich off the song, she won't have a chance to attract him with her money.
