“Going My Way”

This 1979 Archie Comics Group anthology delivers a perfectly timed winter gag right on its cover, penciled and inked by Dan DeCarlo Jr.: Archie and a heavyset older gentleman stroll through a snowy neighborhood, the man wistfully asking, "Archie, do you think my students will miss me someday?" — only for a flying snowball to answer the question immediately, with kids sledding gleefully in the background. The three-panel cover sequence is a charming little comic strip in itself, topped by a colorful banner featuring the Riverdale gang lounging around the bold PEP logo. A fun, lighthearted pick from the Archie Series lineup.
