The Punisher #2

Aug 1987 · Marvel · 0.75 USD; 0.95 CAD; 0.40 GBP
“Bolivia”

In "Bolivia," the Punisher is drawn into a dangerous operation in the heart of South America, where a former South Vietnamese general now runs a powerful cocaine empire. With Hoyle as his guide, Frank faces a brutal test of loyalty when ordered to eliminate a DEA agent—only to turn against the drug lord and join forces with a woman named Valencia in a desperate bid to dismantle the ring. Written by Mike Baron and illustrated with gritty precision by Klaus Janson, this issue’s cover by Janson captures the tension of a mission that’s as much about survival as it is about justice.

Thinking that he is disaffected with his lot in life and wants to join their drug operation, Hoyle brings the Punisher to Bolivia to meet with a South Vietnamese general turned cocaine drug lord. When General Tranh commands Frank to shoot a Bolivian DEA agent to prove his loyalty, the Punisher rescues Valencia and the pair try to take out the heavily armed drug ring.
