The Flash #219
The Scarlet Speedster ends up behind bars in The Flash #219 (1972), as Nick Cardy's cover depicts Mirror Master collecting a stack of cash from a grinning accomplice while a trapped Flash grips the cell bars — the dialogue making clear someone paid a million dollars to put him there. The story is titled "The Million Dollar Deathtrap," and the issue also boasts the Green Lantern–Green Arrow team, with interior work by the formidable pairing of writer Denny O'Neil and artist/inker Neal Adams. It's a wonderfully tense snapshot of the Scarlet Speedster at his most vulnerable, making this a satisfying read from DC's early-'70s lineup.
