In "null," the Psycho Pirate’s mind control reaches deep into the ranks of the Justice Society, ensnaring Green Lantern and later the Flash as the heroes race to stop him at his Earth-1 hideout. With Wildcat the only one unharmed by the villain’s fear gaze, a brutal punch may be the key to breaking the spell—just as Bruce Wayne moves to arrest the JSA, calling in reinforcements from the JLA satellite.

In "Le Destin d'un archer," Green Arrow retreats from his life as a hero, seeking peace in a monastery, while Green Lantern races to contain the aftermath of a bomb planted in his former home. Black Canary, searching for traces of Green Arrow, uncovers the remnants of a racist cult she once belonged to—now led by Sister Joshua—and is attacked, barely escaping death before Green Lantern arrives to save her at the last moment.
