The Amazing Spider-Man #661
Spider-Man has apparently traded web-slinging for chalk-holding, and the cover by Ed McGuinness captures the absurdity perfectly — a suited-up Spidey stands at a classroom chalkboard asking who needs to use "the little super heroes' room" while a roster of Avengers Academy students sits at their desks, including a flaming-skulled figure, a yellow-armored teen, a masked girl, and a bored-looking young man eagerly raising his hand. This 2011 crossover with Avengers Academy promises the kind of irreverent, action-meets-education mash-up that Marvel does so well, with Christos Gage writing and Reilly Brown on interior art bringing "The Substitute Part One" to life.
