The Amazing Spider-Man #523
In "Extreme Measures," Spider-Man faces off against twisted, evil counterparts of the Avengers in a hidden Hydra bunker, only to be joined by the real team in a desperate bid to stop a missile carrying deadly biological agents from destroying a vital water source in the Midwest. With Iron Man at his side, Spider-Man races to intercept the launch—just as the missile takes flight, he leaps aboard and redirects it over the ocean, barely escaping the blast. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and brought to life by Mike Deodato’s dynamic art, with inks by Joe Pimentel, colors by Matt Milla, and letters by VC's Cory Petit, this gripping issue sees Spider-Man push his limits in a high-stakes battle for survival. The cover, by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson, captures the moment of crisis with intensity and precision.
