Teen Titans #73

Teen Titans #73 (September 2009) puts a fierce, battle-worn young woman front and center — her red-and-gold costume torn, her expression fierce, and every inch of her body language screaming defiance against what appears to be a grim concrete wall. The bold "Prison Break!" tagline makes the stakes feel immediate, and the cover art by Joe Bennett and Jack Jadson gives the scene a raw, kinetic energy that's hard to look away from. Rounding out the package is a Ravager second feature, making this a nicely packed $3.99 issue in the "Child's Play" storyline, with interior work from writer Sean McKeever and artist Yıldıray Çınar.
