Teen Titans #59

Part of DC's 2008 "Dark Side Club" crossover, Teen Titans #59 brings the tension straight to the streets with a cover proclaiming "Terror in the Streets!" Robin charges forward in his red-and-gold costume, cape billowing, while behind him Blue Beetle fires a dazzling energy blast, a feral creature lunges from the right, and two young women — one wielding crackling pink energy — press into the chaos alongside a masked figure on the left. Penciled by Eddy Barrows and inked by Júlio Ferreira, the composition crackles with urgency and makes a strong case for Sean McKeever's run on this title.
