Savage Dragon takes the action all the way to outer space in this December 1997 issue, with Erik Larsen's cover showing the green-skinned Dragon and a blonde female companion tumbling through the void in spacesuits, tethered by lines as a saucer-shaped spacecraft looms above them. In the background, a cracking, explosion-ringed Earth hangs ominously against the star-filled cosmos, hinting at stakes that couldn't be much higher. It's a striking, wide-open image that makes this one of the more visually adventurous chapters in Larsen's long-running Image series.
