Marking Image Comics' 30th anniversary in 2022, Savage Dragon #262 hits hard with a cover by Erik Larsen that puts a battered, bloodied Dragon front and center — fist cocked and fangs bared — as a crowd of green-skinned adversaries closes in around him against a blazing yellow backdrop. The "Scorched Earth!" banner at the bottom sets an appropriately intense tone for what's clearly a no-holds-barred throwdown. Larsen's linework crackles with kinetic energy, and with colors by Nikos Koutsis and Mike Toris, this one leaps right off the shelf.
