Savage Dragon #238

Against a blazing crimson background, a bloodied and shirtless Dragon surges upward from a sea of grasping, undead-looking hands that claw at him from every direction — it's a visceral, kinetic image that immediately signals the "Out for Blood!" story title means business. Erik Larsen's cover pencils and inks capture Dragon's raw physicality perfectly, with that iconic fin and fists clenched as he fights to break free of the overwhelming mob below. Issue #238 is a fine reminder of why this long-running Image series, still going strong in 2018, continues to deliver superhero action with genuine intensity.
