59 appearances · Modern Age · 2004–2024 · 5 key issues
Who is Mindee Cuckoo?

Mindee (later revealed as Irma) is one of five identical sisters cloned from Emma Frost and raised at Xavier's School, where their shared psychic link amplifies their formidable telepathic abilities. Together as the Stepford Cuckoos, they became both students and protégés of the X-Men.

Mindee Cuckoo stepped into the Marvel Universe in 2004's New X-Men #6, brought to life by the legendary Grant Morrison and Phil Jimenez during one of the most celebrated and boundary-pushing runs in X-Men history. A Modern Age creation with real staying power, she's accumulated nearly two decades of appearances across titles like Marauders and New X-Men, rubbing shoulders with heavy hitters like Emma Frost, Cyclops, Beast, and Logan — the very heart of the X-Men world. With five key-issue appearances to her name, collectors have taken notice, and her consistent presence through 2024 speaks to a character who has genuinely earned her place in the Marvel tapestry. If you're tracing the rich, complex lineage of mutantkind's Modern Age, Mindee Cuckoo is a name worth knowing.
