Ten years of Marvel's premier martial-arts series draws to a close with this special double-size collectors' issue, and the cover — penciled by Ron Wilson and inked by Mike Mignola — captures the weight of that moment beautifully: Shang-Chi walks away from us toward a glittering city skyline, barefoot and bare-backed, while a fallen robe bearing a yin-yang symbol lies at his feet, the cover copy declaring that his walk along the warrior's path has finally come to an end. It's a quietly powerful image, full of earned solemnity, and a fitting send-off for one of Marvel's most thoughtful action titles of the 1970s and early '80s.
