“Fast Descent into Hell!”

"Fast Descent into Hell!" kicks off with Tanya’s urgent plea to Warren—her lost love, Karl Lykos, is alive in the Savage Land—and Angel agrees to investigate. Jameson sends Peter Parker along for the story, setting the stage for a tense expedition where Spider-Man and Angel are swiftly captured by the Mutates and brought before the enigmatic Brainchild. Chris Claremont’s sharp scripting and Michael Golden’s dynamic, fully realized art—pencils, inks, and colors all by Golden—bring the Savage Land’s danger and mystery to vivid life, with a cover by Golden that perfectly captures the story’s high-stakes tone.
