In "Descida ao Inferno," Jo finds herself drawn into a mystery when she learns that her lost love, Karl Lykos, may still be alive in the wild realm of Terra Selvagem. With the help of the Winged Angel, Warren, she sets out to uncover the truth—only to have her journey intersect with Peter Parker, who’s sent by Jameson to document the expedition. When the Spider-Man and the Angel are swiftly captured by the Metamorphs and brought to Imago, their quest takes a dangerous turn.

In "Amargo Pesadelo," the villain Imago twists the fates of the Angel and Spider-Man, turning them into grotesque monsters to battle Ka-Zar and his people. When Tanya is captured and transformed, Lykos intervenes—draining the mutation from her and the heroes, restoring them to normal… but at the cost of his own humanity, as he becomes the monstrous Sauron. With the heroes gone and the jungle in chaos, Sauron remains, unleashed and unchained.

In "A Fortaleza do Desespero," the X-Men launch a desperate mission into the Wild Area to hunt down Sauron, only to be ambushed by the shape-shifting Metamorphs. Overwhelmed in battle, the team is scattered—most captured and dragged to Sauron and Zaladane’s stronghold, leaving Angel to face the danger alone.

In "O Confronto Final," with the rest of the X-Men imprisoned by Sauron, Anjo and Ka-Zar must unite to orchestrate a daring rescue. Xavier believes he has finally cured Karl Lykos of Sauron’s influence—though whether that truth holds will be tested in the coming clash.
