After Marmaduke sneaks out to see Pudd, Louie chases them through town, where Marmaduke receives a telegram and briefly pretends to be a millionaire to win Louie's favor before the deception is revealed. In the backup "Marmaduke Land King Louie" adventure, Marmaduke and King Louie engage in a competitive boat race to prove whose vessel is faster, with Louie boasting about his technological superiority while Marmaduke relies on the wind to power his sailboat.
