Legion of Super-Heroes #50

The landmark 50th issue of this volume arrives with a cover by Ken Steacy that's genuinely breathtaking — a small cluster of Legionnaires stranded on a crumbling asteroid, some fallen and some still standing defiantly, while two vast glowing cosmic entities loom over them against a deep-space blue, a dark sphere hanging ominously between them. The title "Life and Death and the End of Time" says everything about the scale Paul Levitz, Keith Giffen, and Mike DeCarlo are swinging for here. It's the kind of milestone issue that earns its number.
