This July 1988 issue of Legion of Super-Heroes arrives with a hauntingly atmospheric cover by Ken Steacy, rendered in cool blue-grey tones that give the scene an almost cinematic intensity. Several Legion figures are caught mid-struggle, their bodies wracked by blinding energy as they strain against some overwhelming force — the tagline "To Catch a Falling Star…" lending the whole image a sense of desperate urgency.
