About this Collection

This collection kicks off the 'Thy Kingdom Come' storyline, reuniting the classic Justice Society with the modern era as they confront the fallout of Alex Ross and Mark Waid's 'Kingdom Come' universe. Written by Geoff Johns and Alex Ross, with art by Dale Eaglesham and others, it collects issues #1-4 of the 2007 series, introducing a new generation of heroes while grappling with legacy and the return of Gog.

In "Indestructible," Nathan Heywood grapples with a terrifying transformation as Reichsmark's molten metal fuses with his body, granting him regenerating strength—enough to inspire the Justice Society of America to craft a suit echoing his grandfather's Steel legacy. As Superman seeks answers from Starman about the Legion's mysterious arrival and Thom's unexpected stay, Power Girl takes Nathan on a high-stakes mission to rescue hostages, culminating in his official christening as Citizen Steel. With Alex Ross's striking cover capturing the weight of legacy and power, this pivotal issue marks a defining moment in Nathan's journey.
