“Bells & Whistles”

In "Bells & Whistles," Jesse Chambers—now Liberty Belle—faces a reckoning when Damage, driven by vengeance, storms Atlanta after breaking his deal with Georgia. Once a speedster inspired by her father’s legacy, she must reconnect with the Speed Force to stop Zoom, even as her past and the weight of her choices threaten to pull her under. Written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Fernando Pasarin, with dynamic colors by Jeromy Cox and letters by Rob Leigh, the issue finds her confronting both a dangerous foe and her own history. The cover, a striking portrait by Alex Ross, captures the emotional intensity of her journey.

Jesse Chambers narrates how her father's encouragement lead her to begin her superhero career as Jesse Quick, but that once Zoom killed her father, she abandoned her connection to the Speed Force and became the new Liberty Belle. But now, when Damage has broken his agreement with the state of Georgia and entered Atlanta in pursuit of the man who mangled his face, that same Zoom, Liberty Belle has to tap into the Speed Force again to save Damage and put away Zoom.
