Justice League Europe #17

The Extremist Vector thunders into its third chapter with this August 1990 issue of Justice League Europe, and the cover by Bart Sears and Randy Elliott captures the chaos perfectly — a massive, red-armed villain dominates the foreground, hurling a silver-skinned figure aside while Flash, a blonde woman in yellow-and-white, and a host of other League members scramble through a storm of incoming missiles. The starburst tagline "Party Time at Ground Zero!" says it all: this team is in serious trouble, outgunned and scattered across a battlefield erupting around them. With story by Keith Giffen and Gerard Jones and interior art by Sears and Elliott, this is the JLE era at its most frantically entertaining.
