The bold lightning-bolt emblem of Black Adam dominates this January 2000 cover, with three JSA members — a goggled figure, Hawkgirl with wings spread and weapon raised, and Doctor Fate — rendered in striking gold within its shape, as if caught in his grasp. Alan Davis and Mark Farmer deliver a beautifully composed design that says everything about the tension at the heart of "Justice, Like Lightning…" without showing a single punch. With Geoff Johns and David Goyer at the helm and Marcos Martín on interior art, this is a team and a creative lineup firing on all cylinders.
