A massive armored figure stands with its back to us on what appears to be an alien landscape, facing down a determined group of white-clad heroes advancing from the distance — with five more intense faces lined up across the top banner under the words "Terror! Violence! Mayhem! Horror! Misery!" Ryan Ottley's cover composition does a fine job of building tension through scale and silhouette, making that looming mechanical form feel like a genuine threat to everyone behind it. Robert Kirkman's Invincible was hitting its stride in 2014, and this Image/Skybound installment looks like a compelling chapter in that ongoing saga.
