“Chapter 1”

"Chapter 1" of G.I. Joe (2014, IDW) kicks off with a gripping flashback to the first meeting between Monk and Duke, setting the stage for a tense, character-driven story. Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Steve Kurth, with inks by Allen Martinez, colors by Joana Lafuente, and letters by Shawn Lee, the issue unfolds through a series of high-stakes missions and personal betrayals, including Tunnel Rat and Roadblock foiling a fake bomb, Quick Kick uncovering defective weapons, and the Commander confronting Destro over a past betrayal.
