Fantastic Four Annual #11
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1976 King-Size Annual delivers one of Marvel's most exciting cross-team collisions, pitting the Fantastic Four against the "Fighting-Mad Invaders" in what the cover boldly promises is an all-new story. Jack Kirby's pencils and Joe Sinnott's inks bring the confrontation to vivid life: the Human Torch blazes across the scene in twin fiery streaks, the Thing squares off at the center, the Invisible Girl unleashes her powers, and Mr. Fantastic strains forward — while Captain America, shield raised, and a bare-chested Sub-Mariner crash into them from opposing sides against a shadowy backdrop that suggests wartime London. With Roy Thomas's story and John Buscema on interior art, this annual has serious creative firepower behind a cover that practically crackles off the page.

Reed discovers that a canister of Vibranium has accidentally fallen into his time platform and made its way back to World War II where the Nazis have used it to win the war. The Fantastic Four travel back to 1942 where they fight alongside the Invaders to defeat Baron Zemo and recover the Vibranium. Upon returning to their own time, however, the Thing discovers that only half of the Vibranium has been accounted for and prepares to leap back in time again.
