In "Showdown at Sea!" from *Thing: Liberty Legion* #nn (2011), the Thing teams up with the Liberty Legion—Patriot, Red Raven, Jack Frost, Blue Diamond, Thin Man, Miss America, and the Whizzer—in a high-stakes 1942 mission to stop a horde of super-powered Nazis from seizing a vibranium canister that’s mysteriously traveled from 1976. With help from the Watcher and a surprise appearance by the Fantastic Four, the heroes race across the Atlantic to prevent the weapon from falling into enemy hands.
