Fire meets thunder in this 1974 Marvel Team-Up pairing of the Human Torch and Thor, as Gil Kane and Mike Esposito's cover plunges both heroes straight into a blazing brawl against the Lethal Legions of the Lava Man. Thor swings Mjolnir while the flame-wreathed Torch tears through a horde of pale, goggle-eyed subterranean warriors, with a massive Lava Man looming at the lower right — it's a genuinely dynamic composition that makes the most of two very different power sets colliding at once. Len Wein scripts the action, with art by Jim Mooney, and the cover's battle cry — "The Fire This Time!" — sets the tone perfectly for what looks like a wonderfully chaotic Marvel slugfest.
