Crazy Magazine #37

Marvel's humor magazine hits its stride with this 1978 "Idiot Special," and the cover by Bob Larkin sets the tone perfectly — a caped Darth Vader parody stands imposingly while a small, big-nosed comedy figure in a hat and cape appears to be fiddling with a television screen mounted where Vader's chest controls would be. Promising a Giant Bonus Pullout Section, 16 pages of insane puzzles, and a free Book of Fun and Games, issue #37 is loaded with extras alongside interior material including "Baloney Miller," written and drawn by Marie Severin with Len Herman on script. If you were a fan of irreverent Marvel humor in the late seventies, this one delivered plenty of bang for a dollar.
