Crazy Magazine #38

Marvel's self-proclaimed "Magazine That Dares to Be Dumb" is in fine form with issue #38, dedicating itself entirely to the "Big Support Your UFO Issue." Bob Larkin's cover sets the comedic tone perfectly, depicting a goofy cartoon alien peering over the rim of a glowing, disc-shaped flying saucer hovering above a lone desert highway under a star-filled sky — the tagline "Boy! Are We Alone!" making the joke land just right. Inside, writer Aron Mayer and artist/inker Gary Brodsky contribute "Clearly Encountered for the Thirtieth Time," promising the brand of gleefully ridiculous parody that made Crazy a worthy rival to the humor magazine crowd of 1978.
