“The Maze, the Man, the Monster”

In "The Maze, the Man, the Monster," Conan takes on a deadly quest to rescue Theta’s sisters—Rhula, Bethene, and Lola—after they’re sold into slavery. With a clever trap and the help of a cunning ruse, Conan draws out the sinister Forbos, only to uncover a horrifying truth: the man is half-bull, bound to a monstrous entity known as the Devourer of Women. Written by Bruce Jones and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by John Buscema—whose cover pencils and inks define the issue’s grim intensity—this 1983 Marvel classic blends visceral action with mythic dread.

Conan helps Theta look for her sisters (Rhula, Bethene and Lola), who have been sold into slavery. Suspecting Forbos, Conan tricks him into "buying" Theta. Theta and Conan discover that Forbos is half-man/half-bull and has been feeding his harem, and Theta's sisters, to the Devourer of Women. Conan kills the Devourer to save Theta and Forbos dies because they were linked.
