“Spider Isle”

In "Spider Isle," Conan teams up with a determined young woman named Theta as they track down her missing sisters—Rhula, Bethene, and Lola—after they’re sold into slavery. With a cunning plan, Conan turns the tables on the suspicious Forbos, only to uncover a monstrous secret: Forbos is half-man, half-bull, and his twisted harem is tied to a terrifying entity known as the Devourer of Women. Written by Bruce Jones and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by John Buscema—both interior and cover—this 1985 adventure blends perilous intrigue with mythic dread, all rendered in striking detail.

Conan helps Theta look for her sisters (Rhula, Bethene and Lola), who have been sold into slavery. Suspecting Forbos, Conan tricks him into "buying" Theta. Theta and Conan discover that Forbos is half-man/half-bull and has been feeding his harem, and Theta's sisters, to the Devourer of Women. Conan kills the Devourer to save Theta and Forbos dies because they were linked.
