When suspicion falls on Forbos, Conan sets a trap, luring him into buying Theta, only to uncover a horrifying truth: Forbos is a half-man, half-bull creature who feeds his harem, including Theta’s sisters, to a monstrous entity known as the Devourer of Women.

In "Das Leben unter Verfluchten," Conan is drawn into a deadly game when the Dragon of Solvanthia awakens after the theft of the Sword of Graven. Trapped among the villagers who plot to sacrifice him, he must survive their treachery—and the beast’s wrath—when Valen Triafer suddenly chooses to defy them, leaping into a pit to deliver the sword and stand beside him. As the Dragon looms, the fate of both men hangs in the balance.

In "Das Schwert und die Bestie," Conan joins forces with Valen to confront the Dragon of Solvanthia, a beast long imprisoned beneath the city. As the two battle the creature, Valen reveals a grim truth: the people of Solvanthia lured Conan there to use him as a sacrifice.
