“Magnetic Repulsion”

In "Magnetic Repulsion," Captain America teams up with Hank Pym to free Namor from the Controller's mind control, only to find themselves caught in a larger conflict when Magneto arrives to confront the Red Skull—personally. With the villain's empire crumbling, Cap must decide where his loyalty lies as Magneto delivers justice in his own way, sealing the Skull away with nothing but water and time to reflect. Written by Gruenwald and illustrated by Kieron Dwyer, with inks by Danny Bulanadi, colors by Buccellato, and letters by Morelli, this 1990 issue features a cover by Kieron Dwyer that captures the moment of confrontation in bold, dynamic detail.

Cap and Hank free Namor from the Controller's control. Cap battles the Controller once again but can't find his boss, the Red Skull, once the villain is defeated. That's because Magneto is beating the stuffing out of the Skull for his Nazi war crimes. Rather than kill him, Magneto seals the Skull in an unused fallout shelter with only ten gallons of water and time to consider his past crimes.
