Who is Boomslang?

Boomslang is a snake-themed mercenary and member of the Serpent Society, a professional guild of supervillains who hire out their services for profit. He wields razor-edged boomerangs shaped like serpents, making him a dangerous ranged combatant who has clashed repeatedly with Captain America.

Few villains slither into Marvel history with quite the staying power of Boomslang, who first struck in Captain America #343 in 1988 — a Copper Age creation from the legendary Mark Gruenwald and Kieron Dwyer. A proud member of the Serpent Society, that gloriously sinister snake-themed collective, Boomslang has spent nearly four decades sharing panels with the likes of Steve Rogers, Diamondback, and Rock Python across Captain America, Avengers Assemble, and beyond. With a key issue already to their name and appearances stretching all the way to 2025, this reptilian rogue is a satisfying deep-cut for any collector who appreciates Gruenwald's wonderfully weird corner of the Marvel Universe.
