“Friendly Game”

In "Friendly Game," Archie finds himself stranded in Europe after accidentally boarding Mr. Lodge’s private plane—only to be trapped in the baggage compartment. With no way home, he takes on a string of odd jobs across the continent, each time appearing in a new disguise. Meanwhile, Mr. Lodge grows increasingly unsettled, convinced he’s seeing Archie everywhere he goes, always in a different outfit and working a new gig. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Harry Lucey, with a cover by Dan DeCarlo, this 1995 Double Digest tale delivers a lighthearted, globe-trotting twist on the classic Archie dynamic.
