Batman: Fear State Saga #[nn]
In "Fear State Alpha," Batman takes direct custody of Scarecrow during a high-stakes transport to Arkham Tower, turning the tense ride into a chilling conversation about the aftermath of the city-wide chaos. As they travel, the Dark Knight confronts the fallout of the Fear State event—Miracle Molly’s imprisonment, the mysterious disappearance of the Unsanity Collective, Simon Saint’s uneasy cooperation with authorities, Peacekeeper-01’s escape, Ivy’s reconciliation with Harley Quinn, and the uneasy alliance with Clownhunter under Ghost-Maker’s guidance—setting the stage for a fractured Gotham still reeling from fear. Written by James Tynion IV and illustrated by Riccardo Federici, Christian Duce, Ryan Benjamin, Guillem March, and Trevor Hairsine, with inks by Federici, Duce, Benjamin, March, and Hairsine, colors by Chris Sotomayor, and letters by Clayton Cowles, the issue’s cover by Ben Oliver captures the tension in a striking, shadow-drenched portrait of Batman and his prisoner.
